Meeting tonight in Kamloops for wildfire evacuees

KAMLOOPS – A meeting has been planned for evacuees in Kamloops from wildfires in the Thompson Nicola Regional District.

Representatives of the B.C. Wildfire Management, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, regional district, Interior Health Authority, Red Cross and Disaster Psychosocial Program will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

The meeting will take place at Thompson Rivers University’s Grand Hall in the Campus Activities Centre at 7 p.m.

The regional district is also reminding people that there is still room in Kamloops for evacuees. Anyone who has evacuated to Kamloops should check in to the Sportsplex Lounge at McArther Island Park.
