Scotch Creek Forest Service Road temporarily closed

SALMON ARM – Travellers are advised the Scotch Creek Forest Service Road (FSR) will be temporarily closed at the 12.5-kilometre marker from Monday, Sept. 16 to Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, due to a bridge upgrade.

Ministry staff will be replacing deteriorated log cribs that support the bridge with a new stabilized retaining wall with a longer lifespan.

The Pukeashun Trail, north of the closure, will still be accessible from the east on Seymour Main – Celista Creek FSR and from the west on Adams FSR.

The Scotch Creek FSR is on the north shore of Shuswap Lake and is part of B.C.'s 55,000-kilometre Forest Service road network that provides access to British Columbia's backcountry.
