Favourite Market Share comes on late to win $543,000 Maple Leaf Trot

CAMPBELLVILLE, Ont. – Market Share took the lead down the stretch to emphatically capture the $543,000 Maple Leaf Trot on Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Tim Tetrick drove last year’s Hambletonian and Canadian Trotting Classic winner to a 2 1/2-length win in 1:51.1 on a fast track.

Defending champion Mister Herbie was second in the eight-horse field with Uncle Peter taking third in the open trot for three-year-olds and up.

Later on Saturday night’s card was the $323,500 Roses Are Red Stakes for aged female pacers.
