Winnipeg police still searching for mother of two children found dead in home

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police are still searching for a mother whose two children were found dead in their home Wednesday.

Const. Eric Hofley says police are concentrating their search on the riverside neighbourhood where the family lived.

He says emergency personnel are on the Assiniboine River and officers are also using the police helicopter to look for Lisa Gibson, who is 32.

Hofley says anyone who sees the strawberry-blond woman is asked to call police.

Police were called to the Gibson home on Wednesday morning and discovered a toddler and baby in critical condition.

The two were rushed to hospital but died from their injuries.
