HALIFAX – The Nova Scotia government will release an update today on its finances for the last fiscal year.
Finance Minister Maureen MacDonald will present the government’s audited financial statements for the 2012-13 fiscal year, which ended March 31.
In April, the province tabled a $9.5-billion fiscal plan for 2013-14.
The budget forecast a slim surplus of $16.4 million, which followed a $356.4 million deficit for 2012-13.
The NDP government is in the last year of its mandate.
