Transportation Safety Board investigating boat collision at Port of Montreal

MONTREAL – Canada’s Transportation Safety Board is investigating a collision between two boats at the Port of Montreal.

The TSB says a bulk carrier, measuring more than 180 metres in length, collided with a smaller tug boat on Saturday night.

The agency has sent a team of investigators to gather information and determine what happened.

There are no reports of injuries and Montreal police say they weren’t called to the scene.

The bulk carrier, the M/V Heloise, is from Panama while the tug, Ocean Georgie Bain, is from Canada.
