PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Authorities in Haiti say a group of men have destroyed a city hall building on the country’s southwest coast to protest the killing of a 17-year-old boy.
A crowd also attacked the police station in the Jeremie district of Anse-Deneau early Friday as anger grew.
Jeremie police chief Jean-Alex Pierre-Louis said four city hall employees are suspected of killing the boy while searching the home of fishermen who found a bale of drugs in nearby waters.
No further details were available.
