KAMLOOPS – Back in October 2013, the city of Kamloops invited residents of 12 Street along with business owners and other stakeholders to an open house to tell them how infrastructure could be improved along the street.

The city used this input along with budget and technical considerations to develop the final reconstruction plan, according to a media release. Reconstruction of the area between Tranquille Road and Lethbridge Avenue is set to begin in 2015.

Another open house at McArthur Island Sports Centre Lounge is scheduled for Thurs. Oct. 16 where the city will present the reconstruction plan. Residents and business owners along 12 Street are encouraged to drop by anytime between 6 – 8 p.m. City staff will be available to answer questions.

The 12 Street reconstruction plan will also be available to view online starting October 10.
