BAGHDAD – Iraqi officials say separate car bombings in three southern cities have killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens.
Three police officers say the deadliest of Tuesday’s attacks was in the city of Amara, where a car bomb exploded in a commercial area, killing four civilians and wounding 42.
They added that two car bombs went off in a parking lot in the city of Iskanadariyah, killing three and wounding 18.
The third car bomb detonated near a power plant in the southern city of Nasiriyah, killing three civilians and wounding 21.
Three medical officials confirmed the causality figures. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release the information.
