RCMP to provide new information in Red Scorpions gang co-founder murder

KAMLOOPS – RCMP are planning to release new information about last week's murder of a member of an organized crime gang in Kamloops.

Red Scorpions gang co-founder Konaam Shirzad, 34, was gunned town outside a home on Hudson's Bay Trail in Kamloops on Thursday, Sept. 21. A second victim, a 28-year-old man who has not been identified, was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

RCMP are holding a news conference tomorrow morning, Sept. 28, and say new information about the shooting will be released.

As well, police say surveilance video will be played for the media.

RCMP have not said if investigators have identified any suspects.
