VICTORIA – Cody Jamieson had a hat trick and added three assists as the Six Nations Chiefs downed the Victoria Shamrocks 10-8 on Saturday in Game 2 of the Mann Cup.
The best-of-seven series for Canada’s senior lacrosse championship is now tied 1-1.
Kedoh Hill scored three times for Six Nations, while Johnny Powless had a pair of goals. Colin Doyle and Roger Vyse had goals as well. Evan Kirk made 43 saves for the Chiefs.
Jeff Shattler led Victoria with three goals and three assists, while Rhys Duch had two goals and two assists. Jesse King, Nolan Heavenor and Cory Conway all had singles. Matt Vinc stopped 29 shots for the Shamrocks.
The game was tied 6-6 after two periods. Powless, Jamieson and Doyle all scored in the last 10:06 of play to give Six Nations the win.
Game 3 is on Monday in Victoria.
