Looking for a forever home; South Okanagan/Similkameen SPCA pet of the week

PENTICTON –  Steve is a smart boy is just looking to hang out with his new people.

Spending time with you is Steve's favourite activity. He doesn't like to be left alone without company because he is a very social boy that likes to be with people, according to the South Okanagan/Similkameen Shelter pet profile.

A secure fence is important for Steve because he is really smart and the SPCA says he knows how to 'lift a gate latch.' He doesn't want to run away, he leaves the yard because he is lonely so he decides he will go to visit his friends.

If you like to run, hike, or camp Steve would be the perfect partner for your adventures. He is intelligent and wants to please.

It is easy to motivate Steve because he likes treats. His desire to please you and treats will help train Steve.

He hasn't had opportunities to mix with other dogs at the shelter so, the SPCA says that if you already have a dog they would need to do a "meet and greet."

Steve is eager to be apart a family and SPCA staff say that giving the chance to bond with his new family "he will quickly develop into a valued family member."
