TORONTO – Former NHL players Scott Thornton and Mike Krushelnyski will be among the competitors on the coming season of CBC-TVs ”Battle of the Blades.”
The competitors for the program that pairs hockey players with figure skaters are being revealed a few per day on the ”Battle of the Blades” website.
Thornton and Krushelnyski were the first two announced on Sunday.
It was revealed last week that figure skaters Kurt Browning and Jamie Sale, as well as ”Hockey Night in Canada”’ commentator P.J. Stock, will serve as judges.
The new season starts Sept. 22.
Hosted by CBC sports announcer Ron MacLean, the show aired for three seasons but took a break last year.
