LANDIS, Sask. – A hazardous material crew is on the scene of a Canadian National train derailment in western Saskatchewan involving at least one rail car leaking oil.
RCMP say 16 CN train cars derailed this morning near Landis, west of Saskatoon.
There was no information about the size of the oil leak.
Police say no one was injured, but the school in Landis has been closed for the day as a precaution.
Fire crews from nearby communities put out a grass fire caused by the derailment, but police say none of the rail cars caught fire.
