Liberal candidate defends bio that says he was Facebook executive

BRANDON, Man. – The expected Liberal candidate in an upcoming federal byelection in Manitoba says his online biography is not misleading, but could be changed to clear things up.

Rolf Dinsdale’s campaign website says he was a, quote — “senior executive at the leading social media network Facebook.”

In fact, Dinsdale worked for a Toronto company called Segal Communications, which handled sales for Facebook advertising in Canada.

Dinsdale, who is the only candidate so far for the Liberal nomination in Brandon-Souris, says he should maybe change a couple of sentences in his biography, but maintains he had a strong partnership with Facebook.

Dinsdale also recently played in a punk band with fellow Liberals named S–t from Hell, whose songs include “Horny Single Mom” and “Jesus Got Wood.”

Dinsdale says the songs show his sense of humour and he considers his material pro-Christian.
