60-year-old man who roamed around town naked gets three months in jail

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – A 60-year-old man who roamed around naked in the village of Clearwater, B.C., has been sentenced to three months in jail.

Michael Goller pleaded guilty to four counts of being nude in public view on private property.

Provincial court Judge Chris Cleavely says Goller’s actions have become a nuisance and that tourists and children have seen him naked near a fast-food restaurant.

Goller has been banned from coming within 50 metres of the restaurant during his one-year probation period, when he is also prohibited from entering the village without permission from a probation officer.

Goller has six prior convictions for the same offence dating back to 2007.

He apologized to the court, saying his alcohol addiction has led to poor judgment. (CHNL)
