Bodies of 2 soldiers found in Mexico mudslide; toll now 8

MEXICO CITY – Mexican authorities say the bodies of two more soldiers killed by a mudslide in the southern state of Guerrero have been recovered, raising the death toll to eight.

A statement Monday evening from the Defence Department says search and recovery efforts are now concluded with all soldiers accounted for. One who was injured remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Six other bodies were recovered previously from the landslide that swept over soldiers Saturday morning in the community of El Carrizal, in the township of San Miguel Totolapan. Mud
