Chile: 12-year-old steals truck, runs over crowd killing 1

SANTIAGO, Chile – Authorities in Chile say that a 12-year-old stole a truck and plowed into an open-air vegetable market, killing a man and injuring at least five people.

Police Colonel Mauricio Murillo says that officers were forced to shoot the minor in order to stop the truck as it crashed into stalls and knocked down vendors and customers on Thursday

Officials say the youth is hospitalized in stable condition.
