Fire investigators work to determine cause of late-night Kamloops shed fire

KAMLOOPS – Fire investigators are on scene in the Dallas neighbourhood this morning after a late-night fire.

Kamloops Fire Rescue Platoon Capt. Troy Grant says crews responded to a backyard shed fire on Ridge Road last night, Nov. 29, and arrived to find the 20-by-80-foot metal structure fully involved with smoke and flames showing.

Grant says crews ventilated the building and tried to gain access to the fire, but ended up knocking the flames down from the exterior.

"No idea of a cause at this point," he says.

Investigators are on the scene today looking for the cause.

No word on whether or not the cause of the fire was suspicious.
