Methanex selling 10% share Egyptian Methanex for $110M; remains majority owner

VANCOUVER – Methanex Corp. (TSX:MX) says it is selling about a 10 per cent equity share in Egyptian Methanex Methanol Company S.A.E. for $110 million. The buyer, inter-Arab development bank Arab Petroleum Investments Corp., will see its overall ownership in the joint venture rise to 17 per cent. Methanex remains the operator and majority shareholder with just over 50 per cent.
