SYDNEY, N.S. – Riley Kidney scored 4:38 into overtime to lift the Acadie-Bathurst Titan over the Cape Breton Eagles 2-1 on Monday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Kidney also assisted on Jacob Melanson’s goal at the 14:16 mark of the third period.
Jan Bednar made 26 saves to earn the win in net for the Titan (5-0-0).
Nicholas Girouard was the lone scorer for Cape Breton (1-2-2) and goaltender Nicolas Ruccia stopped 40 shots.
Kidney’s goal came on one of Acadie-Bathurst’s six power plays and the Eagles did not score on their three man advantages.

CHARLOTTETOWN — William Dufour’s winner came at the 13:43 mark of the third period as Saint John topped the Islanders.
Riley Bezeau and Cam MacDonald also scored for the Sea Dogs (1-3-1).
Michael Horth replied for Charlottetown (3-2-0).
