Another body found along Surrey street where five victims were dumped

SURREY, B.C. – Homicide investigators in Metro Vancouver say the woman found dead in a Surrey park is known to police.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Sgt. Jennifer Pound says the name of the 41-year-old victim won’t be released until her family is located and informed.

The body was spotted Thursday in the parking lot of Surrey’s Hi-Knoll Park, near the boundary with Langley.

The park is on the same street, and not far from the area where five other bodies have been found since January.

On Thursday, Pound said it appeared the woman had been murdered, but she also noted it was too early to tell if the slaying is related to the other killings.

Investigators remained at the scene into Friday morning, searching for clues that could help determine what happened to the latest victim. (The Canadian Press, CKNW)
