Kelowna home joins the ten million dollar club
Kelowna has joined the Ten Million Dollar Club.
Property valuations for 2018 released Jan. 1 by B.C. Assessment show the top 100 residential properties in the Okanagan assessment region are almost all in the Central Okanagan (the one exception is Coldstream.)
And the top property, a modernist mansion on Kelowna’s’ waterfront, just crept over the $10-million mark.
Just to keep things in perspective, however, the most expensive home in B.C. is this $76 million mansion in Kitsilano.
A Lake Country property at 12990 Pixton Road takes fourth spot (last year it was sixth) with a value of $7.99 million while a property at 4594 Fuller Road in Kelowna holds fifth place at $7.91 million (down from fourth place in 2016).
You have to go all the way to number 38 before the top 100 list leaves the Central Okanagan to a property worth $5.83 million at 8200 Kalavista Drive in Coldstream.
As usual, waterfront mansions in Kelowna dominate the list (with the occassional inland view property to break it up).
Taking up last spot on the list is a waterfront property in Kelowna located in the Sheerwater development. It’s assessed at a mere $4.1 million.
