3 killed, 6 hurt in Detroit barbershop shooting

DETROIT – Detroit police say gunfire broke out at a barbershop on the city’s east side, leaving at least three people dead.

Police spokeswoman Kelly Miner said the shootings happened about 6 p.m. at Al’s Barbershop. Miner says nine people were shot and three of them are confirmed dead.

Miner says she doesn’t know the ages or sexes of the victims or how many people may have been shooting.

The barbershop is in a strip mall along a major road.

Additional details about the shooting were not immediately available.
