Police investigate death of Lake Country man

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a Lake Country man. Lake Country RCMP were called to a home after getting a "man down" complaint on Nov. 3. The man has since died.

Lake Country RCMP and BC Ambulance Services went to the home in the 9000 block of Hwy 97 where they found a man lying by a vehicle at the location. On attendance emergency responders found the man in an unresponsive state in medical distress. The 61-year-old man was transported to Kelowna General Hospital by B.C. Ambulance for medical treatment where he remained until his passing on Nov. 6.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit and the B.C. Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the man’s death which has been deemed as suspicious in nature at this time.
