Rapper Gucci Mane indicted in Atlanta on US firearms charges

ATLANTA – Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane is facing federal firearms charges after authorities say he was twice found in possession of guns.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Atlanta said Tuesday that Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, faces two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon. Prosecutors say Davis, who is 33, was indicted by a federal grand jury Nov. 19.

Prosecutors say Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found to have a gun on Sept. 12 and was found to have a different gun in his possession two days later, on Sept. 14. Prosecutors say he acted erratically and threatened people on both occasions.

Davis’ lawyer Drew Findling said he is reviewing information in the case and then will decide what action to take.
