Woman found dead in Manhattan trash compactor
NEW YORK – A 48-year-old woman has been found dead inside a trash compactor at a luxury apartment building in Manhattan.
Police discovered the woman just before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the 29-story Zeckendorf Towers near Union Square.
Police say the woman was identified as Lara Prychenko. She was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It wasn’t clear how she ended up in the trash compactor.
