The Latest: Car slams into LA taco stand, killing 1 person

LOS ANGELES – The Latest on the fatal crash of a car into a Los Angeles taco stand (all times local):

11:30 a.m.

A motorist was arrested after a car crashed into taco stand in Los Angeles, killing one person and injuring nine others.

Police Detective Jose De Leon tells City News Service 34-year-old Maribel Rosas was booked for investigation of felony vehicular manslaughter. She’s being held in jail on $100,000 bail.

The crash occurred Sunday night in Boyle Heights.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott says one person died at the scene, two people were hospitalized in critical condition and another person was transported for treatment of a minor injury. Six others were evaluated at the scene but declined to go to hospitals.
