Alleged bank fraudster targets Kelowna, Salmon Arm banks

SALMON ARM – Police in Salmon Arm are asking for the public's help finding an alleged bank fraudster.

On Jan. 19 at approximately 4:21 p.m., an unidentified Caucasian man entered the TD Bank in Salmon Arm and allegedly used fraudulent ID to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank teller.

It was confirmed that earlier that day, the same man attended a Kelowna TD Bank and was also able to obtain cash by using the same method, Southeast District RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a news release.

Anyone with information regarding this man or these incidents is asked to contact Const. Inglis of the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
