Small plane crashes into motorcycle in Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – A small plane carrying tourists has crashed into a motorcycle while making an emergency landing near the Dominican Republic beach resort of Punta Cana.

Authorities say the motorcyclist has been hospitalized, but no one on board the plane was injured.

Civil Aviation agency spokesman Hector Olivo says the plane landed on the busy road shortly after taking off Monday. It was en route to the Samana peninsula at the time. Olivo says all four passengers were tourists from Uruguay.
