10 skiers okay after unplanned night on mountain near Rossland, B.C.

ROSSLAND, B.C. – A group of 10 skiers spent a chilly night huddled with rescuers after becoming lost while skiing near Rossland, B.C.

A search for the 10 began late Sunday afternoon when they were reported missing on an outing near the Red Mountain Resort in B.C.’s West Kootenay region.

RCMP confirm all ten people were found Sunday evening and everyone is in good shape.

The skiers and their rescuers set up an overnight camp.

It’s expected they will all be airlifted out of the backcountry later today.

No word yet how the group became lost. (CKNW)
