Kelowna protesters join worldwide march against GMO’s and Monsanto

KELOWNA – Organizers couldn’t have asked for a better fall day to hold a protest.

A few hundred people, from children in strollers to seniors with walkers, took part Saturday’s March Against Monsanto.

It was one of some 400 demonstrations against genetically modified organisms that organizers say thousands took part in around the world.

The protesters gathered at the Parkinson Rec Centre, marched across the pedestrian bridge over Highway 97 and ended up at the Kelowna Farmers’ Market.
