Busy day for Kelowna Gospel Mission

KELOWNA – Around 750 people will turn to the Kelowna Gospel Mission today for a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings.

It’s a huge undertaking for the staff and volunteers at the downtown Mission.

The meal is for those who can’t afford to make their own Thanksgiving dinner.

The statistics surrounding the annual event are staggering:
– 50 turkeys
– 16 hams
– 600 lbs of potatoes
– 40 lbs of vegetables
– 60 l of gravy

And of course, all kinds of stuffing and pie.

Dinner is being served from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

The Kelowna Gospel Mission is located at 251 Leon Ave.
