A week of summer sun coming soon to a Southern Interior city near you

Grab some sunscreen; a solid week of August-like temperatures is starting in the Southern Interior this weekend.

Environment Canada is forecasting highs of close to 30 Celsius from Penticton to Kamloops all next week, with almost no chance of rain.

Kelowna should see highs reaching 29 C starting Sunday, May 14 and throughout the week, with lows at night staying above 10 C.

Kamloops will be even warmer all week with highs reaching 30 C midweek and lows not below 12 C.

Vernon will also come close to 30 C during several days next week with lows between 10 C and 13 C at night.

Penticton has a chance of some rain today, May 11, but any clouds are expected to disappear by the weekend, with most of next week reaching highs between 25 C to 29 C, and lows between 10 C and 13 C.
