TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (13,786.50 up 73.10 points):

Aurora Oil & Gas Ltd. (TSX:AEF). Oil and gas. Up $1.45, or 55.13 per cent, to $4.08 on 29.5 million shares. Aurora is selling properties in the Eagle Ford oil shale development in Texas to Baytex Energy for $2.6-billion.

Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS.IR). Utilities. Up 29 cents, or 0.91 per cent, to $32.04 on 12.5 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up 26 cents, or 5.13 per cent, to $5.33 on 6.9 million shares.

Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Down $1.91, or 4.59 per cent, to $39.72 on 6.8 million shares.

Detour Gold Corp. (TSX:DGC). Miner. Up 84 cents, or 11.98 per cent, to $7.85 on 5.3 million shares.

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Up 10 cents, or 1.52 per cent, to $6.67 on 4.2 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (962.10 up 9.30 points):

Oroco Resource Corp. (TSXV:OCO). Miner. Up 7.5 cents, or 214.29 per cent, to 11 cents on 14.1 million shares.

Pine Cliff Energy Ltd. (TSX:PNE). Oil and gas. Up four cents, or 3.23 per cent, to $1.28 on 5.5 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Domtar Corp. (TSX:UFS). Paper products. Down $.399, or 3.35 per cent, to $115.03 on 10,595 shares. The stock slid despite the company having beat expectations as it tripled net income to US$65 million in the fourth quarter on lower maintenance shutdowns and pulp market improvements as overall sales grew to $1.36 billion from $1.33 billion.

Heroux-Devtek Inc. (TSX:HRX). Aerospace. Down 12 cents, or 1.01 per cent, to $11.79 on 124,112 shares. The Quebec-based maker of landing gear for commercial and military aircraft reports it had $2.6 million of net income in its fiscal third quarter. Revenue was $61.45 million, down from $61.7 million in the year-earlier period.
