SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Federal agents have seized $17 million worth of cocaine aboard a boat near Puerto Rico’s southern coast.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Thursday that the drugs weighed 1,320 pounds (600 kilograms). Officials said they arrested two people, one from the Dominican Republic and the other from Venezuela.
The boat was detained Wednesday near the southern coastal town of Salinas.
