Police want to know who lost some cash in Kelowna

KELOWNA – It's another case of some cash being found in Kelowna, and police want to return it to its rightful owner.

Police say a good samaritan was walking her dog the morning of June 16 when she found money near Muir Road and McKenzie Road in Rutland and turned it into the detachment.

In a news release, Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says it was a "quantity" of Canadian cash, but won't give specifics on the amount.

“The money was contained and located on the ground in the vicinity of Muir Road and McKenzie Road,” says O’Donaghey. “We are of course not releasing certain detailed information, including a total amount or exact denominations of the cash in an effort to return the money to its rightful owner.”

If you or anyone you know may have lost some cash, call Cpl. Graham French at 250-762-3300.
