Okanagan expected to sizzle this weekend
KELOWNA – Time to hit the beaches this weekend as Okanagan residents prepare for some of the hottest weather of the year so far.
Environment Canada says the valley will see highs in the mid 30s over the weekend, with Sunday, July 29 topping out at 36 C.
Friday and Saturday will be sizzling as well, with highs of 34 C and 35 C, and lots of sun.
Today, July 26, expect a high in the low 30s.
Possible smoky conditions have also prompted a special air quality statement for the valley from Environment Canada as well.
Monday, July 30, expect temperatures once again at 35 C to start the work week, with a moderating trend expected on Tuesday, along with a chance of showers.
