‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign goes green for weekend to mark St. Patrick’s Day

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Las Vegas is joining with Irish friends and turning the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign green this weekend in honour of St. Patrick’s Day.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and local officials announced the colour-change commemoration Friday, in partnership with Tourism Ireland and Irish celebrity Sybil Mulcahy.

Officials say the sign will stay green until Tuesday.
