Case against former Liberal senator Mac Harb put over to April 22
OTTAWA – Former Liberal senator Mac Harb has had his court case put over to April 22.
Harb is charged with fraud and breach of trust in connection with the Senate expenses scandal.
Jasna Drnda, the lawyer who appeared on Harb’s behalf, says the Crown has turned over most of the required disclosures in the case.
Patrick Brazeau, a former Conservative senator now suspended from the upper house, is facing the same charges as Harb.
Brazeau’s case has been put off to April 28.
The two were charged after questions were raised about their claims for housing expenses.
