LOS ANGELES – Authorities say seven people have been struck by a car outside the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is hosting the LA Auto Show.
Police say the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Monday at 12th and Figueroa streets. There’s no word on other details of the accident or whether anyone was arrested.
A photo supplied by the Fire Department shows a small red car against a utility pole. On the side of the car is a decal that reads: “Drive today! At the auto show.”
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says seven people who were on or near the sidewalk or possibly in a nearby tent are being evaluated for injuries. There’s no word on their conditions.
He says the driver of the car has refused treatment.
