LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Authorities say a gunman was tackled by performers from a male revue show as he attempted to make off with items taken from their dressing room at a Las Vegas Strip hotel.
Lt. David Gordon tells the Las Vegas Sun (http://bit.ly/1ih1wGN ) the gunman fired a shot when confronted by Thunder From Down Under performers who noticed him with their belongings heading toward the courtyard at the Excalibur Hotel.
Las Vegas police and a hotel spokesman say one cast member was treated for minor injuries after being struck in the face by gunshot debris during the incident a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The alleged thief was jailed in Las Vegas. He wasn’t immediately identified.
MGM Resorts International spokesman Gordon Absher says hotel operations and the show schedule weren’t affected.
