Arcade Fire, OneRepublic, Sarah McLachlan to perform at Juno bash
TORONTO – Arcade Fire, OneRepublic and Sarah McLachlan have been added to the list of performers at the upcoming Juno Awards.
The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, which runs the televised music bash, says OneRepublic will perform their latest single, “Counting Stars,” while McLachlan will debut “Beautiful Girl” from her upcoming album, “Shine On.”
However, Arcade Fire will appear via a taped performance due to touring commitments. The Montreal-based band — scheduled to be in Chile that same weekend — is up for a leading six nominations, including album of the year.
McLachlan is also slated to appear as a special presenter for MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity.
Previously announced performers include Tegan and Sara, Serena Ryder, Robin Thicke, Classified, Dean Brody, Gord Bamford, Matt Mays and the Sheepdogs.
The Juno Awards, co-hosted by Classified, Johnny Reid, and Ryder, take place March 30 in Winnipeg and air on CTV.
