The South Koreans earn the fourth and final playoff berth with the win. They face Russia’s Anna Sidorova in Saturday morning’s playoff between the third and second seeds.
Canada’s Rachel Homan and Switzlerland’s Binia Feltscher meet later Friday in a playoff between the top two seeds.
The winner heads directly to Sunday’s gold-medal game.
The loser drops to Saturday afternoon’s semifinal to meet the winner of the playoff between South Korea and Russia.
