SURREY, B.C. – A Mountie is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after his cruiser flipped over in a crash in Surrey, B.C.
Police say the cruiser was heading down a local street with its lights and sirens on when it was hit on the side by a Honda sedan.
The collision caused the police cruiser to flip over on its roof, trapping the officer inside.
A third vehicle that had stopped was also hit after the initial crash.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they helped the Mountie out of his vehicle and took him to a local hospital.
The people inside the Honda suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the third vehicle wasn’t wounded.
