Carlyle says Bolland is ‘probable’ to return to Leafs’ lineup vs. Canadiens

TORONTO – Dave Bolland is “probable” to play for the Maple Leafs in a crucial rivalry game against the Canadiens, coach Randy Carlyle said.

Bolland has missed 56 games since the skate blade of Canucks forward Zack Kassian severed a tendon in the back of his right ankle.

The 27-year-old centre was getting a final assessment Saturday morning before an official decision was made as to whether he’d finally make his return.

Goaltender Jonathan Bernier is not ready to re-join Toronto’s lineup because he is still dealing with groin-injury issues, according to Carlyle.
