Reports of a shooting at Toronto-area courthouse

BRAMPTON, Ont. – There are unconfirmed reports of a shooting at a Toronto-area courthouse.

Several witnesses have tweeted from the Brampton, Ont., courthouse that they heard a shooting and that the building was locked down.

Sangeeta Patel, a criminal lawyer, tells The Canadian Press that she was ordered to remain in her office for security reasons.

Patel also tweeted a photo showing three police cruisers outside the building entrance and several police officers standing there.
