Canadian Press NewsAlert: Unemployment rate falls to 6.9 per cent in March

OTTAWA – Canada’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.9 per cent in March, from 7.0 per cent the previous month, Statistics Canada reported Friday. The agency said 42,900 net jobs were created during the month, which was better than expected.
