VERNON – Today is the last day for advance voting ahead of the Vernon municipal election on Saturday.
Here's what you need to know to cast your ballot.
First of all, here are the criteria for voter eligibility:
If you meet all the criteria and don’t live in Vernon, but own property in the city, you can still vote as a non-resident property elector. You will need to fill out this form from the City of Vernon website.
You do not need to pre-register to cast a ballot, just show up at a polling station with two pieces of ID. Go here to see what types of ID are acceptable at polls.
The last day of advance voting is today, Oct. 18, in council chambers at Vernon city hall, 3400 30 St., until 8 p.m.
Election day is Saturday, Oct. 20
Advance voting begins Oct. 10 and election day is Oct. 20.
Voting is from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on election day Saturday, Oct. 20 at the following voting places:
