Kamloops MP Cathy McLeod to run in next federal election

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops MP Cathy McLeod has announced she will be running for re-election in next year's federal vote.

“The 2019 election is right around the corner. Many have asked me to continue my work representing our region and see unfinished business, like the job-creating Trans Mountain project, reach the finish line and deliver for our communities,” McLeod says in a media release issued today, Oct 12.

McLeod was first elected in the riding of Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo in 2008.

She looks forward to working alongside Conservative leader Andrew Scheer.

“As Scheer has declared, we have a vision for Canada where taxes are low, government is limited, opportunity is unlimited, freedom is celebrated, and people are put before the government,” she says.
